2007 Community Spirit Award

United Way of Missoula County presented First Interstate Bank with the third annual Community Spirit Award at UWMC's annual meeting on July 17. "Missoula is very fortunate to have such a large number of volunteers, compassionate people and caring businesses active in making our community such a wonderful place to live. It's an honor for United Way to recognize First Interstate for its many donations of time, talent and resources, which help build a better community for all," stated United Way CEO, Susan Hay Cramer. In accepting the award on behalf of First Interstate Bank, President Mike Hickey said, "We're proud of our bank's support for so many worthy causes and we're proud of our employees for all they do in the community. This cooperative spirit makes Missoula a great place to live and work." United Way of Missoula County has presented the Community Spirit Award for the last three years to a business that demonstrates concern for those in need through employee involvement in the community and corporate support of nonprofit organizations.
